Frenchman's PeakNamed by the French in 1792, this spot provides commanding views of the Esperance region, in particular the dazzling beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park and the 110 islands of the Recherche Archipelago. Standing at 262 metres above sea level this is a favourite spot for photographers with an endless array of stunning sea and landscapes just waiting to be captured on camera.
The peak is accessible by foot and is well and truly worth the effort, taking around two hours to complete the return trip. A track leads from the car park, up the gentle east slope of the peak, to the summit. Fetures great views over the park.
You'll find Cape Le Grand National Park and Frenchman's Peak just over 50 kilometres east of Esperance.
