Shire of Esperance

A local service to vulnerable people in our community who do not have a family or social network to help them at this time.

The programme will use volunteers to help by arranging for the pick-up of pre-purchased essential items for those now advised not to leave their homes at all.

We are currently offering the option to have a regular phone call to chat and connect, a volunteer to pick up that prescription, the books put out at the library, or the box of pre-ordered food, and deliver this back to the isolating person.

The service will be totally contactless for the safety of both the volunteer and the recipient of the service. With a friendly wave or a brief chat (at a distance!) when goods are delivered.

If you fit any of the criteria (outlined in the poster below) and would like assistance from this program, please call the dedicated number - 0499 385 981 to see how we may help.

This phone line will be manned between 9am and 2:30pm Tuesdays to Fridays, but you're welcome to leave voicemails outside of these times.

Please share this information with anyone you may know who could use the assistance.

If you would like to put your hand up, we ask that you are not in the category of those we wish to help for your own safety.
