The Bay of Isles Leisure Centre staff are excited as the lap pool has re-opened and the Centre will be operating from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Whilst the Centre is reopening bookings are still required, payment is requested at the time of booking due to COVID-19 restrictions and to reduce congestion in the foyer area.

Bookings can now be taken from 6am to 6pm.

Please note* Access into the facility will not be allowed unless you have booked.

Restrictions allow only one pool to be open in the facility at a time. A timetable has been created over the next couple of weeks to allow a rotation of sessions between the lap pool and hydrotherapy pool.

Limits will continue to apply to both pools with a maximum of 8 in the lap (1 person per lane) and a maximum of 9 in the hydrotherapy pool (stationary exercises recommended).

Classes are moving indoors and will be held in the hall from tomorrow, moving into the spin studio later in the week. Please continue to bring your own towel, water, and mat. Social distancing is required while attending classes.

Please note that due to restrictions the following has had to be implemented;

  • Sanitiser is available at the front entrance and everyone who enters the facility is encouraged prior to entry to apply to hands
  • Access to the facility is via the front entrance. Please be aware that the session prior is required to exit the BOILC before the next session can enter, you will have to wait outside until the door is opened
  • Please maintain distancing and reduce congestion while attending the Centre, patrons not following COVID-19 social distancing will be requested to leave the facility
  • The front door will not be available to exit the building. Aquatic area visitors will exit through the hydrotherapy door and classes will exit through the studio exit door (wheelchair available for those with limited mobility)
  • Change rooms are closed – please come dressed for your activity. Toilets can be used for emergencies only

Information about Recreation Centers and COVID-19 can be accessed via this link https://www.wa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2020-05/COVID-19-Safety-Guidelines-Sport-and-Recreation.pdf
