Often during art competitions and open exhibitions artists and creatives are given a brief that sets the vision or scope of the artistic event.
The Cannery’s Art of Isolation exhibition will be held in the main gallery this summer season, open to community members to exhibit works that fit the Art of Isolation theme.
The brief: any medium as long as it draws inspiration from, or was created during, the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing social distancing measures.
Join local artist & teacher Jason Wooldridge for an engaging session focusing on finding your starting point, idea generation, and lateral thinking.
Jason will guide participants while they explore their creative ideas, and lead participants in some observational drawing, to concentrate ideas and work on the technical aspects of drawing.
Participants are invited to work towards submitting a work into the Cannery’s Art of Isolation exhibition, an exhibition which will be held in the main gallery in January 2021.
This is a free session, gold coin donations welcome.
Registrations required.
Refreshments provided.
Suitable for ages ~15+.
The Cannery would like to thank the Shire of Esperance and Horizon Power for making this event possible!
