Ocean Heroes Free Neurodivergent Surfing Event

Ocean Heroes is coming back to Esperance, proudly supported by Telethon7! We can't wait to bring the joys of surfing to the autism community far and wide, so be sure to let everyone know! WE ARE HOSTING A TWO-DAY EVENT! Be sure to book in for both days. Please share this with other families around the greater Esperance area, including Kalgoorlie, Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun and regional areas. Dates: Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of March Venue: Twilight Beach, Esperance, Western Australia Time: The participant will be allocated a 45 minute time slot between 9:00am-12:45pm. What to bring: Bathers, towels, change of warm clothes, and any accessories the participants may like to have (goggles etc.). * Please be advised it is compulsory for each attendee to wear a life jacket in the water. We provide surfboards, wetsuits, lifejackets and surf instructors. There will be Ocean Heroes hats, shirts, poncho towels and other items for sale at the event and we accept cash or card! No, if the participant fits into one of our life jackets we will take them! We have a huge range of of sizes for our life jackets so it should not be a problem. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is parking available at Twilight Beach, and we can assist if you need further support. What can I bring into the event? Bring a change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, hat. We provide wetsuits and lifejackets but if your participant has their own wetsuit please bring it down.
