Tune In

Tune In is an invitation to share an insight into the way she sees and experiences the world, showcasing scenes captured in her hometown of Esperance and backyard of regional WA.

Inspired by her childhood and personal connection with Country, Rosie’s still and moving images explore themes of human existence and connection to Country and each other, calling us to Tune In - to ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us. Picking up a camera and taking photos from an early age, it’s always been a ‘practice of presence’ for the self-taught artist - a way to slow down, observe, and connect with what is happening and existing around her. She finds this in nature too - a safe space where she finds guidance, belonging, and inspiration - in cloud-filled skies, open spaces, intricate patterns of tree leaves, the silence of the bush, the banter of the birds, star filled skies, bold granite outcrops, wild winds and sparkling shorelines. Rosie hopes that Tune In might inspire us to slow down and be more present in the magic and wonder that still exists around us - to rekindle fascination and awe, to care for Country like it cares for us, and to foster connection and hope in our lives.
